Within a few short weeks in Spring 2020, the world of advertising recruitment was turned on its head, as the industry retracted.

With over 500 applications being submitted for a single role advertised on LinkedIn, it’s almost impossible to keep it personal and find the most suitable candidate when you’re left to depend on algorithms and bots.

Put the focus back on real people. Not just those searching for roles, but the personalized service of Kay & Black, and their team of humans, who really get to know the candidate and the person.

As Covid-19 was beginning to wreak havoc across many industries, Kay & Black also felt the effects. Most companies weren’t hiring, and for those that were, they were getting deluged with candidates – qualified or not. The Art Of Good developed the “InHuman” campaign, highlighting Kay & Black’s personalized service, and showing agency and in-house recruiters that there was a better way than solely using the job search platforms that depend on algorithms and bots. Through the different angles on the campaign, we showed how some candidates may not be all they add-up to be, and who companies may be missing out on, including some statements on diversity for an industry that could really benefit from more of it.
